I would not need to utilize the HM3 (or some other MB&F) watch all the time. Why? Because I wish to keep the novelty powerful. Many of us who have these watches consider these highlights of the collection. Their secret weapon when trying a really impressive watch (to impress not only others, but themselves). Do you really want that to be something that you over-use? Items like this are best kept as occasional snacks to keep your taste buds crisp. You don’t drink from a $1,000 bottle of Scotch daily do you? In case you have a watch like this, then I recommend keeping it around, looking at it frequently, and once in a while setting it on and showing it off. That’s the best method of featuring this artful little mechanical thing on your life. I would happily put the cash down to get an MB&F watch if I had the way. Gone is the numerical naming convention, though the Legacy Machine Split Escapement would technically be the fifth in this sub-collection within the overall MB&F b
