Un Violon sur le Sable

The end result? Well, in theory, a more, predictably stable chronometric performance and greater long-term accuracy. Granted, we are going to have to withhold judgement until we have tested one in the real world. But for now, it’s interesting to watch as more and more brands move from Nivarox (and by extension, the Swatch Group), instead choosing to develop proprietary technologies as a means to compete. Despite being the oldest adage in the book, it is also the most intriguing saying to watch firsthand — innovate or die, right?n addition to the special hairspring, the 18-jeweled, hand-cranked BM12-1975M motion itself hums along in a familiar 4Hz over the course of its generous power book of around 90 hours. The reference M0A10359 Baume & Mercier Clifton Manual 1830 is accessible now, even though it’s being made in very limited amounts, seemingly just sold in Europe, and is retailing for a cost of $12,045. An extension of the Baume & Mercier Capeland Shelby Cobra watches we covered here, these bits were created with specific motorists’ heritages in mind and provide all the super-charged aesthetics that we’ve seen up to now from that team-up. Let us take a moment to see what’s different this time around.

The 30th edition of Un Violon sur le Sable festival will be held from July 22–30, 2017. Like music, the festival is electric with the artists playing on an open-air stage, under the stars, facing the sea.
Launched in 1987, momentous date par excellence – the birth year of the dazzling Khatia Buniatishvili, a Georgian-born Mozart – the festival has never ceased to gain followers. More soloists, more musicians, more dancers, and a growing crowd eagerly awaiting the Royan event. A fusion of styles expressed through the music itself: Un Violon Sur le Sable can have a rock edge like Didier Lockwood or float on a flourish of jazzy notes like Nemanja Radulovic.

Baume & Mercier has been celebrating this story for seven years. This year, the brand unveils its 3rd special edition, the Classima Violon Sur le Sable 10383 watch. In harmony with nature, the strap is in alligator and the caseback in spruce wood, this very same wood used to make violins. This watch is a limited edition of 330 pieces.
